Today I felt like showing legs. For those who were not there to see it, I have a few pictures... Enjoy!

Today, my girlfriend and I went to Monterrey's "Parque Fundidora" and listened a talk by Glenda Prado. She is a transgender activist, and her talk was part of the "people's voice" series of talks at the Universal Forum of Cultures. She gave a great speach which was well received by the crowd, still was a little bit controvertial due to Glenda's aggresive style. In any case, we enjoyed the talk. Obviously, this was a good occasion to take some pictures... enjoy!

Last night, my girlfriend and I went to see the flamenco show of Eva Yerbabuena at Monterrey's City Theather. The show was espectacular! I love flamenco dancing, and this woman's interpretation of this kind of dance is mesmerizing. However, I hated the crowd! I can't believe people in this town can't dress and behave properly. Even if they can't dress nice for the occation, at least they should be clean! I mention this because the guy to the left of my girlfriend stunk. If this is not enough, the guy to my right came in late, stood in my foot twice, and kept checking his cellphone... I was close to kill him!!!!
Anyway... even with this crowd, we were able to have a nice evening. Before the show, we stopped for a bite at a nice Argentinean restaurant, and after the show, we went to "Sanborns Cafe". There, I had a vanilla shake.
Left: This picture was taken at the Argentinean restaurant. Note the rocks covered in wax. Right: Vanilla shake.

I'm back from my trip, so my girlfriend and I decided to go to the new "Northeastern Museum". The main attraction of this new museum is the "Buda Guan Yin" exposition, which is part of the activities of the Universal Forum of Cultures being held here in Monterrey. The exposition is composed by more than a hundred pieces related to Hindu and Chinese Buddhism. It is a beautiful exposition worth seeing.

In order to complete the "museums weekend tour", my girfriend and I went to Frida Kahlo's exposition at the Contemporary Art Museum of Monterrey. The exhibit is full of Frida's personal stuff, not only her paintings, but also letters and drawings. It was really nice. Unfortunately, pictures are not allowed, except at the replica of "The Bus" painting. Enjoy!

Today, my girlfriend and I went to see the fossil's exposition at the Museum of Mexican History. We were hoping to see the complete fossilized "Monster of Arramberri". Instead, we only saw a few scattered pieces of its fossilized bones... it was very dissapointing. Still, we had fun walking and taking pictures at the new "Paseo Santa Lucia". Finally, we went to "Sierra Madre" for deep dish pizza and beer.
